Robotics Instructor (Part-Time/Seasonal)

Location: Kansas City, MO
Schedule: Seasonal (August–November) | Approximately 4–8 hours per week

Position Summary

Cyber Creationz Tech is seeking a passionate and engaging Robotics Instructor to inspire the next generation of STEM leaders. The Robotics Instructor will lead hands-on robotics classes for elementary and middle school students, creating an interactive learning environment where participants develop technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and confidence through project-based learning.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with youth, can explain technical concepts in an age-appropriate manner, and is committed to making STEM education fun, accessible, and inclusive.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate engaging robotics lessons using Cyber Creationz Tech curriculum.
• Teach students the fundamentals of robotics, engineering, programming, and computational thinking.
• Guide students through hands-on challenges, design projects, and team competitions.
• Foster a positive, safe, and encouraging classroom environment.
• Adapt instruction to accommodate various ages and skill levels.
• Set up, maintain, and organize robotics equipment and classroom materials.
• Track student attendance, participation, and progress.
• Communicate effectively with Cyber Creationz Tech staff regarding class updates and student needs.
• Represent Cyber Creationz Tech professionally when interacting with students, families, schools, and community partners.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching robotics, coding, engineering, or STEM-related subjects.
• Experience working with youth in educational, nonprofit, camp, or after-school settings.
• Familiarity with robotics platforms such as LEGO SPIKE Prime, VEX IQ, Ozobots, Sphero, Raspberry Pi, Arduino, or similar technologies.
• Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
• Reliable, energetic, and passionate about mentoring young learners.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Preferred Skills

• Basic programming knowledge (Scratch, Python, JavaScript, or block-based coding).
• Experience facilitating project-based learning.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues.
• Creative, patient, and enthusiastic teaching style.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and move throughout instructional sessions.
• Lift and transport robotics kits and classroom equipment (up to 25 pounds).
• Participate in hands-on activities with students.
